Setup Cyber Security Wing:

As Chief Information Security Officer Delhi, I set up the Cyber Security Wing to facilitate the departments in Security Audit under Delhi eGovernance Society (DeGS). This wing conducts the security audit of all applications, websites, network, etc. Prepared an Information Security Policy based on ISO 27001 standards for Delhi.

In-house Development Wing:

As Director, DeGS, I set up in-house development facility largely on Open –Source Platform. The wing has been associated in design, development of IT Projects of various Departments under Delhi Government under my overall supervision. Some of the projects are given below-

• Online issuance of Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC) for Transport Department. This is first of its kind in India where a centralized approach is adopted to test the pollution of vehicles. The processing is done online to issue the certificate. On an average 15,000 certificates are issued daily by 1000+ PUCC centres across the city. The users are illiterate or semi-literate (http://pucc.delhi.gov.in)
• b. Online Payment Gateway Integration with the Departments. We created a common Payment gateway connector with State Bank of India. This provided a single point to connect with all desirous departments with SBI. Overall implementation time reduced to 2-3 days. Earlier it was around one month

Delhi State Resident Data Hub (SRDH)

Unique Identification Authority of India initiated project to set up SRDH as depository of demographic data of Aadhaar Number holders to enable Government to authenticate the records under various schemes. My role was to lead the project in setting up the SRDH and making it live for operations.

Delhi State Spatial Data Infrastructure (DSSDI)

Created state of art spatial infrastructure for Delhi in association with Survey of India. High accuracy maps of 1:2000 scale have been created covering mapping of entire Delhi. Total 360 layers had been developed. This project received National Award (Gold) in e-Governance in the category of innovative project.
